Primary cutaneous nocardiosis is an opportunistic infection that occurs exceptionally in healthy patients and in pediatric age. It is mainly caused by Nocardia brasiliensis and is reported to have a higher incidence in the adult population. We present the case of an immunocompetent pediatric patient secondary to trauma, successfully treated with trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole. The purpose of presenting this case is to emphasize a rarely reported entity in the pediatric age, which ignorance could lead to erroneous diagnoses and/or treatments.
